United States President Donald Trump has declared that Iran’s response to American proposals aimed at ending the conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran was “completely unacceptable.Trump said he had seen the Iranian response which was delivered through Pakistan, saying he didn’t “like it at all.”
“I have just read the response from the so-called representatives of Iran, and I did not like it at all. It is completely unacceptable,” Trump said in a post on the Truth Social platform.
Iranian media reported that Tehran’s response stressed the need to end the conflict on all fronts, lift sanctions and end what it described as a naval blockade imposed on Iran.
Trump said earlier in the day that his administration expected to receive Iran’s response “very soon,” adding that Tehran “really wants to make a deal.”
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, meanwhile, accused Washington of using “military pressure” alongside diplomatic efforts.

Nigeria’s painful absence from the 2026 FIFA World Cup has extended beyond the pitch and into the boardroom following Monday’s unveiling of the Technical Study Group for the global showpiece to be jointly hosted next month by USA, Canada and Mexico .
For the first time since Russia 2018, no Nigerian will sit on the game’s most influential analytical body with the announcement of 11 experts in the FIFA’s newly unveiled Technical Study Group(TSG) for the 2026 World Cup
Guided by FIFA Chief of Global Football Development Arsène Wenger and led by Senior Football Expert Pascal Zuberbühler, the eleven-member panel according to FIFA, will analyse all 104 matches and select the winners of the Golden Ball, Golden Gloves and Best Young Player awards.
For the first time in World Cup history, fans will access the TSG’s analysis in real time through the FIFA Training Centre’s social media accounts. It is a development that underlines just how central the TSG has become to the tournament experience, and one that makes Nigeria’s exclusion from it feel all the more consequential.
